what if agnes isn't from '53?? i mean, if she was married to noah she could've found out about the whole time traveling thing. if noah was abusing tronte (assumption) it would make sense for her to try to keep him safe, even if it means escaping to an entirely different time. it would explain the interruption when egon asked about agnes' grandmother. also maybe the reason she didn't seem to respond to frau nielsen was because it's an identity she made up very recently

I love this theory? Somehow it never crossed my mind (at least, not the alternate timeline angle - I suspected she might have assumed a new identity and moved to another town to escape Noah, but that’s as far as my theory got) and this theory is so interesting? Now I’m going to have to re-watch and re-analyze all of Tronte and Agnes’ scenes for clues … I need to re-watch Tronte’s reaction to the Mads reveal and see how surprised he is by time travel.
